For my celebrity gossip news, what's up with Brittany Spears? Her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards was a disaster. She tried to back out of the show at the last minute and was told that if she did she would be sued. Before going onstage, she was gulping down vodka, and she even took a Xanax to calm her nerves. She was completely numb and it showed. Rather than enjoying Brittany the performer, all of the who's, who in the entertainment profession where hoping that she wouldn't fall over.  When she was performing at the awards show, everyone was focusing on her listless movements, and not really even paying attention to her lip-synced performance.
