Perhaps it’s unfair of me, but every time I read celebrity gossip about or see pictures of Lindsay Lohan, I dislike her a little bit more. I know Lohan is supposedly drug and alcohol free now, but I still can't like her. All the celebrity gossip I have read about Lohan leads me to believe she is a predatory, manipulative opportunist. I have met people in real life who are just like the idea I have of Lindsay Lohan. She appears to be the sort who sees other people as mere pieces in her game, the type of person I like least in life. Consequently, my skin crawls when I see Lohan in pictures or on TV. For example, in the above clip she appears to think herself superior to her interviewers because her tone and body language make her seem aloof.
I have often wondered if I’ve been mislead by celebrity gossip when it comes to Lindsay Lohan. Perhaps she is a better person than the media would have us believe. How accurate is our perception of celebrities? Could the paparazzi be purposely manipulating us into liking certain celebrities and disliking others? Though I have trouble believing it, there is a distinct possibility that Lindsay Lohan is a very nice young woman.
