Celebrity gossip reports say that Mel invited Brit and her dad to stay at his Costa Rica ranch so that she could escape the limelight for a while. Judging by the pictures I’ve seen of Britney in Costa Rica, this ploy failed to work because the paparazzi are still photographing the troubled singer.
Some of the celebrity gossip websites have implied that Britney still needs to lose some weight. The derisive caption accompanying photos of a bikini clad Brit on the TMZ website reads, “Britney lets it all hang out in Costa Rica.” Although these pictures show that Britney Spears definitely looks somewhat heavier than she did a few years ago, I find such comments cruel and unnecessary given the singer’s recent illness. I wonder if the paparazzi will ever leave her in peace.
